On Wonder World
Tim Webster is counted among the show's reporters in the family's own history of Wonder World. As with several of the team, he has not yet been tied to a surviving episode, so he is listed on the strength of that record, and anything that fills the gap is welcome.
After Wonder World
Webster became one of the most recognisable sports and news broadcasters in the country. He started in radio in Bathurst in 1972, was the first newsreader on the breakfast program Good Morning Australia, and through the early 1980s he read the news in Sydney on Ten's Eyewitness News alongside Katrina Lee. From 1993 to 2004 he hosted the nightly sports program Sports Tonight, and he covered Melbourne Cups, Olympic Games and Commonwealth Games for Network Ten across nearly three decades there. He later went back to radio, and since 2025 he has hosted the breakfast program on Sydney's 2SM, taking over from Ron Wilson.
