On Wonder World

Harvey Shore produced Wonder World from 1980 to 1986, the years it won five Logie Awards. If Simon Townsend was the face of the show, Harvey was the person who made it run, the producer who turned a small budget and a team of very young reporters into a daily national program. Decades on, he remains one of the people working hardest to keep the show's history alive, and the show's reporters and crew often credit him as the one who keeps everyone connected.

After Wonder World

He came to the show as an experienced writer and producer. He had been lead writer on the ABC's Behind the News, had written for commercial drama, and had worked as a researcher and producer for Mike Willesee, before Townsend asked him to produce Wonder World. Afterwards he joined ABC Television as an executive producer.

Across his career he has built up more than three thousand hours of broadcast credits, on dozens of feature films and television shows.
