On Wonder World

Edith Bliss arrived at Wonder World already known as a pop singer, and became one of its longest serving and most popular reporters. In 1984 she and fellow reporter Phillip Tanner filed stories from Rome, and the pair also travelled to the Northern Territory for the show, filming at Ayers Rock, the Camel Cup at Alice Springs and Bathurst Island. She later married the show's sound mixer, Mark Tanner.

After Wonder World

Born Eda Bliss in Brisbane, she had a recording career before television. Her 1979 single "If It's Love You Want" reached number twenty four on the Kent Music Report, the national singles chart of the time, and her album Sheer Bliss followed in 1980. On the verge of releasing another single she chose reporting instead, and stayed in front of the camera for years.

Later appearances included winning an episode of Wheel of Fortune in 2006 and a Wonder World reunion the same year. She died in Sydney in 2012, aged 52.
